DBS UPDATE SERVICE

Good Evening,
I believe that most of you, the self-employed live-in carers have and use the DBS Update Service.
I would like to get and keep my fresh DBS on a safe place, where all the employers can open and check the updated DBS easily, not to waste so much time to get a new one, every time when it's needed.
I would happily pay for this service, but I don't have any idea, how to start and do this. Can you, please, help me?
Do I need to ask Consultus first of all, to have a fresh DBS, or can I require one to myself?
And if you can help me with a site or anything where I can turn to with this case...
Sorry, for being so uninformed about it, I should know better...

Dear Anette
As far as I am aware you would have had to supply Consultus with your DBS prior to acceptance.as a Carer. That forms part of the screening process..once accepted Consultus take care of the DBS which you can then access on the government web site.
You must make sure that you renew it each year. For this they will make contact with you annually to update at a small fee.
This is a very Important document..
Consultus has access and potential clients can be given access to the site as well

I read my response to you and need to just reiterate that as a self employed carer the onus is for you to arrange that you put an annual reminder on the DBS service..this is done on the web site..it will not be done by Consultus...I felt I had not made myself clear
