Sponsorship and accomodation

  1. When it comes to international carers (Zambia, Africa) does the agency or the clients help sponsor you in terms of flight and visa application fees?

  2. When you arrive in the care home you are given training, is the training costly or it is free of charge?

  3. In the time frame of when you arrive to when you are assigned to a particular client who needs live in caring, do you live at the home care or not?

  4. If the period of time you were given to work for a certain client elapses do you go back and stay in the home care? (If the client asked for live in care)

  5. If you work as a live out carer do you live in the home care or not?

Good day, as to your 1st question, the answer would be no. Unfortunately Consultus does not sponsor people from other countries

Hi Pande,

with regards to your other questions I thought I would explain how the process works.

Consultus runs a live -in-care agency. There is no care home as such but Carers are placed as live-in-Carers in peoples home.

Assuming you have the right to work in the UK you would pay your own flights etc to get here. Once here you do not work in a care home but rather have to arrange accommodation in which to stay during your training. Consultus does have a couple of houses in which carers stay but this is at your own cost.

A lot of your training will be done online but you then also need to attend the live training. If you get in touch with the recruitment team via our website they can advise on costs or any recruitment drives that are currently running.

Once you have successfully passed training placement with a client is usually within a couple of days. You will need to pay your own accommodation until you are placed.

Once with a client your living expenses and Food costs are covered plus you will receive a daily payment rate.

Accommodation between placements is at your own cost
